OneBox by JOOOL: Core unit for energy conversion and distribution
The OneBox is a central component of the JOOOL Hybrid System, designed for hybrid power architectures. It provides energy conversion, distribution, and system-level coordination for both land-based and onboard applications.
It is available in three power levels: 25 kW, 35 kW, and 50 kW, to suit a range of vessel sizes and energy configurations.
The OneBox is responsible for managing energy flows, converting voltage levels (AC/DC), distributing power to onboard systems, and integrating multiple energy sources. It connects directly to the EPMS (Energy Power Management System), which monitors and controls system performance in real time.

OneBox : Technical features
Propulsion capacity: 25, 35, or 50 kW
Shore power: Up to 6 kW (AC 230V, 50/60 Hz)
Voltage range: Compatible with 160 – 496 VDC batteries
12/24V bi-directional output: Up to 1400W per unit

Hybrid energy compatibility
The OneBox supports the integration of various energy sources:
Renewables: Solar panels or hydrogen systems to recharge batteries
Battery systems: Compatible with 160–496 VDC, up to two batteries per unit
Generators: Compatible with standard 360–480 VAC gensets, 50/60 Hz
Chopped voltage system: Minimizes losses due to the Joule effect
The unit can operate in both full-electric and hybrid modes, with automated switching between sources.
Software and control
The EPMS (Energy Power Management System) is the control interface linked to the OneBox. It is based on over 200,000 lines of code and 25 years of development. The EPMS provides:
Real-time monitoring
Automatic control
Diagnostic and performance data
Update management
OneBox Integration and maintenance
Installation: Plug & Play
Cooling: Air
No electrical certification required
No regular maintenance
Durable over time
