ENERGY & PROPULSION SYSTEM
The JOOOL system
One integrated architecture managing energy storage, power distribution, electric propulsion, and hydrogeneration from the moment you leave the dock to the last anchor watch of the night.
A fully integrated approach
Energy storage, power management, electric propulsion, and renewable sources : each component engineered independently, all operating as one system.
Energy Storage
LiFePO4 modules from 21 to 38 kWh, scalable up to 152 kWh. All hotel loads run silently from battery storage. State of charge and battery health monitored in real time by the EPMS.
Power Management
The EPMS and the OneBox, manages all energy flows automatically : source prioritization, load balancing, generator cycling. No manual intervention required..
Electric propulsion
Direct drive, no gearbox. Full torque from zero RPM, immediate response in both directions. Available in 25, 35 and 50 kW — monohulls and catamarans from 40 to 65 feet.
Renewable sources
Solar, hydrogeneration, and shore power continuously replenish the battery bank. The range extender activates only when reserves require it typically under one hour per day in good weather.
Three modes for one system
Silent at anchor, regenerating under sail, precise under motor, the EPMS manages every transition automatically, without crew intervention.
The OneBox draws from the battery bank to power all hotel loads : refrigeration, lighting, water heating, air conditioning, navigation instruments. Shore power (if available) charges the batteries silently through the PowerUp Charger. Solar panels contribute during daylight. The generator stays off. Crew and guests experience complete silence.
In harbour or in light wind conditions, the electric drive pod draws from the battery bank and delivers instant, silent thrust. Full torque from zero RPM ensures precise and predictable handling in marina manoeuvres. Under motor, the vessel generates apparent wind, making it possible to sail in conditions where a conventional engine would simply push.
At 6 to 7 knots, each electric drive pod recovers approximately 1.5 kWh per hour through hydrogeneration? up to 3 kWh per hour on a twin-pod catamaran. The battery bank recharges passively, without crew input.

QUESTIONS
Everything you want to know
Yes. JOOOL systems are designed to integrate without structural modification, compatible with most production monohulls and catamarans from 40 to 65 feet, with the OneBox Propulsion system and PowerPod replacing the diesel drive. For vessels of any size up to 120 feet that want large-capacity battery storage and silent mooring without electric propulsion, the OneBox Energy is the right configuration. In both cases, the PowerPod is installed in place of, or alongside, the existing diesel drive. JOOOL's engineering team assesses each vessel individually to confirm compatibility and specify the right configuration.
