The OneBox Energy is the central unit of the JOOOL hybrid-electric system for motor yachts, catamarans and sailboats keeping their thermal engine. It centralizes all energy sources, manages distribution automatically and enables up to 152 kWh of onboard battery storage enough to power all hotel loads at anchor without running the generator.
AUTOMATED ENERGY MANAGEMENT
Configurations
The OneBox Energy manages all onboard power, battery storage, solar input, shore charging, and generator management, while the vessel retains its existing thermal propulsion. Hotel loads run silently from battery storage at anchor and in harbour. The EPMS manages generator cycling automatically, minimising runtime and fuel consumption.

Everything you want to know
Yes. The battery packs, EPMS, and installation architecture are shared across both configurations. Upgrading involves replacing the OneBox module and adding the PowerPod, the electrical infrastructure already in place is compatible. JOOOL's engineering team can advise on the upgrade pathway for each vessel.
Up to three OneBox units can run in parallel on the same vessel, for total battery storage up to 456 kWh and combined AC output up to 18 kW. For the Propulsion configuration on a catamaran, two OneBox Propulsion units drive two PowerPods independently.
