The OneBox Propulsion is the central unit of the JOOOL hybrid-electric system for sailing vessels from 40 to 65 feet, factory-integrated with the electric pod as primary propulsion. It manages all energy sources automatically and recovers energy through hydrogeneration under sail all within a single architecture.

Configurations
The OneBox Propulsion adds integrated electric drive to the energy management platform. Connected to the PowerPod direct-drive motor, it replaces the diesel engine entirely, delivering silent, instant-torque propulsion in harbour and regenerating electricity from the propeller while sailing. The complete hybrid-electric sailing experience.

Everything you want to know
Yes. The battery packs, EPMS, and installation architecture are shared across both configurations. Upgrading involves replacing the OneBox module and adding the PowerPod, the electrical infrastructure already in place is compatible. JOOOL's engineering team can advise on the upgrade pathway for each vessel.
Up to three OneBox units can run in parallel on the same vessel, for total battery storage up to 456 kWh and combined AC output up to 18 kW. For the Propulsion configuration on a catamaran, two OneBox Propulsion units drive two PowerPods independently.
