AFTER THE INSTALLATION
Commissioning, training & service network
The JOOOL relationship with a shipyard partner does not end at the first delivery. Commissioning support, technician training, remote monitoring, and a worldwide service network ensure that every JOOOL installation performs at its best, and that your team has the knowledge and support to maintain it independently.

Commissioning: first integration and beyond
Hybrid-electric systems introduce high-voltage DC on a vessel, a domain that requires specific safety architecture. JOOOL addresses this through a layered safety approach embedded in the OneBox platform as standard.
01
First-vessel commissioning
For every new model integration, JOOOL technicians or certified partner engineers attend on site to supervise installation, perform system activation, calibrate the EPMS, configure the onboard display, and run a full functional test across all operating modes. A complete commissioning report is issued at the end of the process, confirming system performance against specification.
02
Subsequent units: yard-independent commissioning
From the second unit onward, yard technicians trained by JOOOL handle commissioning independently. JOOOL remote support is available throughout, via phone, video call, or the EPMS remote monitoring portal. A standardised commissioning checklist and test protocol is provided for each model, ensuring consistent results across all units in the series.

Training: making your team JOOOL-capable
Yard technician training programme
JOOOL’s training programme provides shipyard technicians with the skills to install, commission,
and service JOOOL systems independently.
Training is delivered on site during the first integration and covers:
Training is conducted in English or French.
On-site documentation is provided in both languages. A refresher training session is available for new technicians joining the yard team after the initial training.
OneBox, battery, EPMS, PowerPod : component roles and interconnections
mechanical mounting, cable routing, connector assembly, pre-commissioning checks
software activation, parameter configuration, display setup, functional testing
EPMS fault codes, diagnostic procedures, common issues and resolutions
high-voltage safety protocol, HVIL verification, emergency shutdown procedure
JOOOL engineering team available for technical questions from inspectors
MONITORING
Remote monitoring, visibility across your entire fleet
Every JOOOL system connected to the internet reports its operational status in real time to the JOOOL monitoring platform. The yard, owner, and JOOOL service team all have access to:
Every JOOOL system connected to the internet reports its operational status in real time to the JOOOL monitoring platform. The yard, owner, and JOOOL service team all have access to:
- Battery state of charge and health across all packs
- EPMS operating mode and fault log
- Energy production and consumption data (solar yield, hydrogeneration, shore power, generator runtime)
- Propulsion performance data (where OneBox Propulsion is installed)
- Over-the-air software update status
